Landing page does not change to the page I selected

    Hi all,

    I installed Bharat (v1.2) yesterday and selected the page I want to use as my static homepage in WordPress. However, it keeps showing the original template’s landing page (“THE TAJMAHAL”). I tried several approached and also tried with my other pages. They disappear from the menu after I selected them, but are not showing at the landing page (or anywhere at all). When using another theme this issue does not happen.

    Any suggestions on how to solve this? As I really like the page!

    Content is still very basic, as I want this issue to be solved before putting more effort into optimizing the theme for my site…

    I got a mail reply within 24 hours from the developer, with the solution to my problem. I thought I was able to completely bypass the standard template and use a static landing page, but this is not the case. However, for anyone who might encounter the same issue: below is the solution:

    “At first I would like to say thanks to you for using our theme. In our Bharat theme front page is fully customizable you can customize your front page through customizer. For this you will need to go in Appearance -> Customize in your WP admin dashboard.

    “THE TAJMAHAL” section will change through Appearance -> Customize -> Feature Area and “Symbol of Love” section changes through Appearance -> Customize -> Three Column Feature Area. you can change everything in your front theme.”

    Thanks for this nice theme, I appreciate your work very much! I have the same problem as Remco. In fact, is there a possibility to select a static start page? I know there is, but this feature seems not to work. It looks like I have to stick to the Tajmahal-Stuktur (Sections with Columns) as described in the previous post. But I dont want any columns on the landing page.

    Is there a solution to my problem?

    i’m useing this theme Too but fully customized.
    if you have Problem With static page and you want to have defult static page continiue with following steps: (this can Helpfull for other theme with same issue)

    1.go to your file manager in cPanel or DirectAdmin or …
    2.in wp-content folder find themes > bharat.
    3.Delete the front-page.php

    that’s it!
