Landing Page By Category

I have a site in development (LAMP localhost) which will go live in about a week.

I get that I can assign a category to each feed source. I have two categories: Mainstream and Opposition.

I do not want feed items on the front page. What I want to do is to create menu items: Mainstream Media, Opposition Media. Each will have its own landing page. Years ago I did this with Drupal (which has become increasingly deprecated) but I have not the first clue with WordPress.

Is this doable?
