Landing page and redirection

  • I am wondering how to turn off landing page redirection in WP. After logging in a user is bounced to a landing page defined by settings -> reading.

    We are using bp1.6 and BuddyPress Private Community. The redirect to the login page via BPPC appears to carry the referring URL through, but its then hijacked by the WP setting.

    There seems no way in settings to disable the WP landing page redirect, which is not so useful if the user came to the site through a bookmark to a permalink (it does make sense if the user came to the site root, or an invalid URL, but not if they are headed to a known page).

    Any clues?
