• My client wants a splash page for their site.
I’ve looked at a couple of themes, but they are either too limited in their options or far too involved for what I want, which is the ability to create a plain home page (no nav, no footer, etc.) with a two images on it, with links to book (“book here” button) and local area information links.
    1) Any suggestions for a theme that will do this? I was hoping I can find a simple theme, and just use the homepage, and customize.
    2) I have experience working with a theme, however unsure how to design/connect a page to go live. Any insight on that as well, would be awesome.

I appreciate insight on how to create a simple home page/landing page or how I can choose a simple theme and modify.

    Hello, Christina,

There are a number of themes available with templates for landing pages. Have you searched with “landing page” as a keyword?

Is the intention to have a one-page site that is just the landing page? If so, you can avoid the navigation by not creating one. Changing the footer will be more involved and may require some changes in code, depending on the theme you choose.

Once you have chosen a theme it might be useful to look through some of the support threads to see if others have done the same kind of thing you are trying to do. Additionally, some theme authors have tutorials available.
