• When I use the Shortcode [wpmem_profile] there comes the table for user editing.
On the top there is the text “Bearbeite deine Daten” (German language), but I do not find this text in the language files.
I need the formal version, which is correct in the wp-members-de_DE.po-File:
Edit Your Information > Bearbeiten Sie Ihre Benutzerinformationen.

Where can I find the text to change it?

There are two German language packs available for WP-Members, German and German (Formal). Both are official language packs so they download automatically based on your WP language settings. One of those would be the language pack that you are using and not what downloads with the plugin (which is no longer supported anyway).

Downloaded language packs are generally going to be found in /wp-content/languages/plugins/ directory.

The phrase you are looking to change indicates that you probably need to reconsider the language setting you are using.

“Bearbeiten Sie Ihre Benutzerinformationen” is the formal and is in the German (Formal) language pack. “Bearbeite deine Daten” is what is used in the standard German language pack. Note that which of these downloads from www.remarpro.com depends on the selection in your WP General Settings for language.

If you decide that you want to maintain a custom translation file, you can save that to another location and use the wpmem_localization_file filter to change the translation file that loads.

Alternatively, you could just filter the heading itself using the wpmem_user_edit_heading filter.
