• Using it for my ecommerce site, it’s a very good and easy to use plugin, with a few major drawbacks:

    1) It is currently impossible, with any existing plugin, to set a minimum password strenght for users. Even a single letter can be used as a password, and there is no way to avoid it!

    2) Official plugins are really expensive and lack basic features. You are 99% of the time better off with plugins from the Envato marketplace, or even free ones.

Solve these issues, and it deserves 5 stars.

    (1) Passwords and Logins are controlled entirely by WordPress, not Woo

(2a) “Official plugins are really expensive…” – value is in the eye of the beholder, and at the same time this does not relate to the free product, which this review theoretically reflects

(2b) “Official plugins … lack basic features” – what features are you looking for???? How does it matter whether the Pay plugins by Woo satisfy your needs, or you need to go to plugins by the greater WooSphere<<

    1) there is not a single working plugin to enforce strong passwords on users that currently works on woocommerce, while there are many for worpress. I read every single forum thread about this issue and more than one plugin developer claim it’s woocommerce fault not to check for password requirements when new users register. Just tell me how to work this issue around, if you know it, and I’ll be happy.

2a&b) They are expensive compared to counterparts found on other markets (such as Envato), as they all are, basically, yearly subscriptions that you can use on one site only. I’m ok to pay a lot of money for an amazing plugin (I paid $199 for Optinmonster), but I found it not to be the case with 3 of the plugins I bought off woocommerce. Many lacked basic features for what they claimed to be. Just one example for all: woocommerce points and rewards. I found it a basic requirement for a points plugin to be able to set a minimum redeeming point threshold, which I couldn’t do, for 120 dollars A YEAR. Also, over a three months usage I found the plugin to be barely mantained, with just a few very minor updates. I then looked at the Envato market, found Sumo Reward Points, bought it for 29 DOLLARS and got 10 times the options, features and support I had with the official plugin. This is what I call value. This might be just my experience, but it happened to me 3 times, with 3 different plugins, so I think a 3 stars review is the best way to reflect my experience with woocommerce.
