• I’ve always heard about the issues with Jetpack and how it can bloatware, but it was always easier than finding a string of plugins to do the same thing. However, they don’t like giving support.

I opened a support ticket using their forum, but instead of helping to resolve the problem, they told me to send them an email. So I did. As soon as I did, they closed my support ticket on their forum as resolved, and never replied to my email to continue with the support. Now they’re been ignoring me for weeks rather than actually helping to resolve the issue

    Hi @unwantedlife

We definitely don’t want to come across as ignoring our users and we do our best to provide timely support via either the forums or email.

At present, we have a backlog of support requests and we work through them in the order received. I see that we last contacted you via email on 2/27 asking if you still needed assistance. If you respond to that email, it will reopen the ticket in our system.

Additionally, looking at your forum history, I see that you were troubleshooting a potential conflict between Jetpack and the plugin Revive Old Posts:

Based on the last comment in the thread, it sounds like they were unable to reproduce the issue.

That said, if you respond to the email that you sent on 2/27, we can take a look via email. Please reference both this review and your previous forum thread with us.

you haven’t sent me an email on the 27/02/2024, you also didn’t contact me through the forum to generate an email telling me that there’s a new message on the forum.

the only email you sent me was on 14/02/2024 and that was an automated email that said:

“Hi there, We have received your support request, and our Jetpack support team will be in touch as soon as possible. If you have any more details to share or happen to find the answer yourself, just reply to this email to keep us updated. In the meantime you might want to check out our support documentation here. If you’re having trouble getting Jetpack connected, as a first step, please ask your hosting provider to add the long list of IP addresses found on this page to an allowlist: https://jetpack.com/support/how-to-add-jetpack-ips-allowlist/Thank you for using Jetpack.”

You’ve sent no other email to any of my email addresses. If you believe you have, then forward that email address to me to prove you did send it

    Hi @unwantedlife

I have contacted you via email on ticket #7821059.

We’ll work on this issue via that email conversation.

why do you want to work on it by email when it takes you longer to engage that way? You only asked me to send you an email to prove I was the owner of my blog. Given that your emails also don’t work, because you never sent an email on the date you claimed, it makes using the forum the better option

    Hey

I replied to this question on the forum thread you opened.

As said in the thread, we usually provide email support to paying customers, but given the nature of the issue you reported and our need of further investigations that might involve the sharing of sensitive data, we escalated your issue to the email channel. Hope what I stated in the thread answers your question, and we also hope we can keep cooperating to find what’s causing the plugin conflict you reported. It doesn’t seem to be an easy one to pinpoint, unfortunately.
