Blocks are supposed to give you more control, but my experience is the opposite. Some blocks are out of control. I made a separator-block in a middle of a post (in betveen HTML-blocks), but I am unable to delete it later. In order to delete a block you have to mark the block so that WordPress knows which block to delete. When I try to click on the block I always mark the block located before andre after the separator-block, not the separator block itself. I can see the name of the block in top corner of the block itself, the name is Separator. But I am not able to do anything about the block because the edit-option (Document/Block) on the right side in Gutenberg does not appeaer for the separator-block (no matter how I try to click on it). Is this a bug in WordPress 5? How can I tell WordPress which block I want to edit/delete I can see the separator-block in the post, but I am not able to change it in any way. By the way, right after i made the separator-block I tried the undo option, but this option deleted a another block and not the block I just made. By the way it seems that I can move the separator-block up and down, but that is the only thing I can do with it.

    It sounds like several bugs.
Could you search the issues to see if these are reported yet? And if not, write new issues for them?

Thank you. My experience is that block live their own life and dont behave like you want them to. The undo-function does noes not work as it is supposed to – it does not undo the last action but removes different block so I have to start from scratch. The HTML-function is a mess, especially in combination with different blocks. Some of the mess in WordPress it is possable to get used to, but it takes several months and ? lot of frustrations. Thanks again.

If you don’t like it, you can use the Classic Editor plugin. Perhaps wait a while until they get more bugs worked out, and try it again?
