• I am customizing the default Kubrick theme, and I have 2 background images, that replaced the kubrickbg-ltr.jpg and kubrickbgwide.jpg. I see the PHP in the header to detect which image to use as the background of the #page, although it’s not working for me. I do have a sidebar, and plan to have a few pages without a sidebar, but even with the sidebar there, it’s using the wrong background (wide instead of ltr). Is there something I’m doing wrong? Maybe WP is not detecting if there is a sidebar for some reason?

    Thanks!

  • You also need to make changes/add stuff to your stylesheet.
You realize Kubrick is the hardest theme to mod? Personally, I would find another theme I liked and mod it.

I’ve already done some work with it, and have it running, the only thing I’m having a problem with is the background images. I wanted to take advantage of the code that’s there to detect the sidebar and load a specific background, because I need that functionality. But it’s not detecting the sidebar for some reason. Other than that, the design is already there: https://www.gravitystation.com/dev/corpgigs/wp

Anyone know how to make this detection thing work?
