• Hello All.
I’ve been trying to install the lovely Kubrick theme from
binarybonsai with some success. Unfortunately I’ve run into two problems.
    1. I have installed it in a sub directory and have changed the paths. Everything is showing up except firefox button on the sidebar! Any ideas on what I have missed and or ideas on how to remedy this?
    2. Being a newbie I’m not to sure on how to handle the htaccess_template. Can someone please offer some directions?
Thankyou all for your help and patience in this wonderful journey of creating a photoblog.

  • Look on bonsai site.. read the comments on the last release.. they point out solutions.

The problem you have in this forum is that very few forum goers have installed Kubrick or know how it works far less dealing with the issues arising.

    hi!
    about the firefox button…
it only shows up in internet explorer – not in safari (mac), linux browsers or even firefox.
    your question #2 – sorry, but i don’t have a solution either.
i have my own problems with kubrick…
the links don’t show up, the comments are not displayed, the search function doesn’t work, the links to the previous postst don’t work…
everything in wordpress worked perfect – untill i installed kubrick…
but i’ll get that fixed somehow – the design is awfull – worth investing some extra hours (took me only 25 up to now without finding a solution) and the kubrick site seems to be down ??

    hi!
found my problem – it has to do with the structure of my folders…
i have a wordpress folder in the root directory of my website. inside the folder are the kubrick files and everything else that belongs to wordpress/kubrick.
if i try to look at the last 10 entrys for example it tells me that the archivespage.php could not be found.
if i type in https://www.energylab.de/worpress/archivespage.php it shows up!!!
must have something to do with the basic “linkstructure”
where can i adjust the links?
btw. everything worked before i installed kubrick. something must have changed…
i uploaded all the files that came with kubrick and some of the old ones were replaced with the upload.
another (maybe) important info – the archives directory still resides inside my old movable type installation. that did’t harm wordpress – everything worked fine.
don’t get me wrong – i don’t blame kubrick for anything!
i think if i can solve this “linking problem” it will be ace!
    cheers
