• I just created a blog and would like to change the default image header. I downloaded the kubrickheader.gif and then uploaded it and it looked different. It ended up shifted down about 10 pixels for some reason, and any image header I try to upload yields the same results. My blog currently has the original image re-uploaded so you can see it. Anyone have some advice? Thanks ahead of time.

  • Frankly, I’d suggest customizing a theme easier to tweak.

If it’s gotta be the Default theme, then have a look at Designing_Headers for some pointers.

I looked over that but what it says it basically that if you have an image the right size you can just upload it and replace the original kubrickheader.gif. I took the original kubrickheader.gif and then uploaded that very same image but it got shifted down for some reason as you can see . I understand I will look like a total amateur with the default theme but that isn’t too important to me. Is there anything to fix that specific problem? Thanks.

Your blog is hosted at wordpress.com?

Heck, I didn’t even know you could DO custom headers with that service!
