    Hi,

    there is a known issue with 2.1.6 as it requires extended views to be updated to the latest version. ppossible issues are

    -blank calendar page
    -non-working’ posterboad & stream view (for latest versions)
    -missing all-day badge icon in agenda widget
    -compatibility issue with child themes

    we are working on another release, there are two ways you can try to fix this:

    1) at the beginning of all-in-one-event-calendar.php on line 12 add
    define( 'AI1EC_THEME_COMPATIBILITY_FER', true );

    This will force compatibility mode for themes. It’s just related to 2.1.6 and upwords version and has just a little impact on performance, not noticeable

    2) force debug mode just for one or two requests. To do so add

    define( 'AI1EC_DEBUG', false );

    on line 12 ( or on line 13 if you used point 1 https://take.ms/HknDG ) and then refresh the calendar page once or twice. this refreshes all caches ( TWIG, CSS and so on ) and has a BIG performance hit. So after 1 or 2 refreshes you must delete this.

    Please post specific cases in separate threads, they will not be answered in this thread. I will update it if new things arise

    released 2.1.7 to fix this.
    I’ll let this stick for a while.
    in 2.1.7 we use compatibility mode for everyone so no need of point 1) anymore, it’s already in the plugin, number 2 can always help

    @djedefresky we simply made an error in what we released.
    Front end rendering wasn’t meant for 2.1.6, that’s why it’s off in 2.1.7, it will be in 2.2.

    Of course you “simply made an error.” That simple error took my high traffic websites offline and caused me to delete your plugin. I had the CEO calling me on my cellphone about it. It wasn’t simple at our end. We had a very populated calendar and that will have to be rebuilt using whatever tool I use instead of yours. Many pages of content will disappear and new ones will have to be made. Now I’ll have search engines seeing content going away and sending people to dead pages. We lost money during our downtime. Don’t be so careless and have such a “no big deal” attitude about it.

    I′ve made a website for a client and now I have updated the calendar. The entire front page is blank and also the event page. I have to fix this immediately and do not know how ??????? They are not so happy so I need help fast!

    I’ve also got the above problem and can not fix it with your above solution. I have clients that are using this calendar heavily, and now it’s just showing a blank screen.

    PLEASE UPDATE ASAP AS I AM NOW LOSING MONEY.

    Though your advice is good, this thread is for support from what is really a commercial organization. They have a commercial version of this product that is also failing everyone and their website claims “Timely is a group of 15 developers, support staff and managers.” If that’s the case people should be able to expect this plugin not to melt their website. People should be nice to each other, but the developers need to get on this. Asking for separate threads is pretty silly since everyone is having effectively the same problem. They upgraded and they got the white screen of death.

    I just started using this plugin so I just deleted the folder for it and got my site back. I’m sure I lost my content, but I didn’t have much.

    The reason for separate threads, is because while issues seem the same, each case is unique. I know that I’m having issues that everyone else isn’t, or at least most aren’t. I have some very specific behavior (plugin not even downloading at completely removing files, permission settings being changed making progress, etc). I work in QA, and trust me, you have to separate things or it’s an impossible task.

    I found a solution! Just switch to a different theme, then back to your original theme and everything will work!. Try it.

    Doesn’t work for me, my old theme has been gamma 1.11 with some css customizations ….

    switching back to it still breaks – not just the calendar – but the whole site! And yes, Gamma 2 works but then I lost all customizations …

    Your documentation tells me to copy the theme I want to use to another folder “themes-ai1ec”. Then add the override.css…

    After I deleted that folder, copied again, added override.css again and switched the theme again – now I have a working theme again.

    Don’t get me wrong but isn’t the whole idea of overrides that I do not have to ever do these steps twice?

    Whatever, AIOEC just breaks every few updates, I guess we should get used to it and not use it productively (the unpaid version is the testing ground for Timely as I understand it, right?).

    @piedro open a thread if you need support.
    You can but add ons from us but core functions are the same, the codebase is the same, you get the same updates as every one.
