Knowing the last of the day in the loop with multiple post types

  • Hi,

    I’m working on a site that has multiple custom post types associated with it. On the home page they are all being listed by date, similar to craigslist only different being is they have a different background color depending on the day it was listed.

    Thursday April 25th, 2013 (background – red)
    – Post One
    – Post Two
    – Custom Post One

    Wednesday April 24th, 2013 (background – blue)
    – Custom Post Two
    – Post Three

    … and so on.

    I found this link from a few years ago but it doesn’t work with multiple custom post types. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.
