KMZ file limits

    G’day Sox,

    There’s a few different limits, which you can read about on the Google developer website:

    https://developers.google.com/kml/documentation/mapsSupport

    Note that even though your file is under the 3MB maximum for a fetched file, it could still be hitting the maximum features limit of 10,000 or the maximum network links of 10. Most likely though, from your description, you’re hitting the layers limit described in the blue box at the bottom of that page.

    Thank you for yhour reply. I’m going to work on my KMZ file to reduce the layer number and see it solve my problem. Can you try to display my kmz file if I send you the file ?

    G’day Sox,

    Not much point sending the file to me. If it won’t display on a website for you, it also won’t work for me — same Google Maps API.

    If you do need to correspond off-list, you can use my support form. Best to keep things here and visible for others, however.
