    Hi,

    I′m using your plugin since a few days…everything is working fine so far. But I realized that there′s a problem using the Klarna Checkout.

    Checkout: After selecting Klarna as the payment method and clicking on “Order with obligation to pay”, the customer is forwarded to Klarna Checkout…there I clicked the “Back” button as a test and am thus forwarded back to my shop checkout page .

    There I get the message: “Payment authorization failed. Please choose another payment method.”

    So far so good…the customer hasn’t paid anything yet…in the backend of the shop the order has the status “Payment pending”….the customer (in this case it was me) still gets an order confirmation by e-mail.

    This could lead to misunderstandings…one or the other customer could then believe that everything is fine and he/she gets his/her order!

    Is this normal with the order confirmation email? The customer should then actually receive an e-mail that the ordering process was not fully completed.

    Is this a problem with my settings in the plugin?

    Hi @golfball-uhu

    The Stripe plugin doesn’t control the order emails that are sent to customers. WooCommerce sends emails by detecting when the order’s status has changed from pending to processing for example.

    Are you using the Germanized plugin? If so it’s possible that plugin is pre-maturely sending an email to your customers.

    For this order, did the order status ever change or did it remain pending? You can verify this by going to the WooCommerce > Orders > Order Details page for that specific order.

    Hi,

    thx for your very fast answer :-).

    Status is still pending….I think in 1-2 days it is changing to canceled.

    I do not use germanized…I use German Market.

    I see the logic behind this behavior…the customer is clicking “Order with obligation to pay”..so for the system it′s payed….but in this case the customer never completed the process.

    I found some settings within German Market…that should do the trick. I need to make some testings…but it looks good: “Send order confirmation email only when you reach the thank you page”

    I just tried doing the same process with Paypal….I does not trigger the “order confirmation mail” + “Payment pending”.

    That’s because with PayPal, the WooCommerce order object isn’t created until after the PayPal order ID exists and the customer has completed their payment within PayPal.

    With the Stripe Klarna integration, since it’s redirect based, the WooCommerce order gets created, then the Stripe plugin redirects the user to the Klarna payment page.

    Yes, that setting within your German Market plugin should solve your issue.
