Since that is a commercial plugin, we ask that you please go to their official support channel, so you can get support from the people who know it best.

    https://kingsumo.com/support/

Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why it is not working properly. Other community members who may have faced your issue might be able to help you but your best bet is your product’s developer. Keep in mind we encourage you to use the official support venues, as it allows the developers to be aware of issues with their code and gives back to the community in a more robust way.

Thanks James, I’ll do that. I was thinking it was more of a WP issue due to the change after the update.

    Cheers,

It’s possible, but it’s really up to the plugin developers to test and adapt with the public betas and release candidates which are available up to a month before the final release.

Every attempt is made to preserve compatibility, but we can’t test against everything. There are over 42,000 plugins in the free directory here alone.

Hey, noguiltfitness, have you found or received a fix for this yet? I have the exact thing happening as well as KingSumo going to a 404 error page after receiving an entry instead of the share page. I have a message in to their help desk, but haven’t heard back. Would love to know if you have!

    Hey Weifarer,

I’m sorry, no. I haven’t heard back from the KingSumo team yet. I also have the error you’re describing – it seems to stem from the same root.

    Cheers,
    – Z

If I hear anything, I’ll post an update. As annoyed by the error as I am, glad I’m not alone. I was afraid it was a theme issue, but as long as you aren’t running Highend, then hopefully it is a bug the KingSumo team can fix … soon!

Noguiltfitness, I fixed it. Ok, I found a working workaround, which is still something I never thought I’d utter. When you purchased, did you get two files (I’m running on Mac so my version number is different)? I tested the old version on a different site and it doesn’t have the error. Since I have a giveaway running (with errors), I copied the code from the old version into the plugin. Works fine now. So if you can revert to the older version, you should be all set. Now on with life and giveaways…!

    Thanks for sharing your solution!

Thanks Weifarer! Did you reinstall while you still had a giveaway active?

I did. Hence the copying of code rather than removing the new version and installing the old (that was the backup plan). Glad it worked!

Ah, I don’t have a giveaway running on a different site. Which code did you copy? I can always grab from the original files that were sent.

i’m on a Mac, but don’t have two different files.

PS I still haven’t heard back from KingSumo >:-<

I haven’t heard back from KingSumo yet either.

The version that is working for me is 1.3.10. The 1.3.11 is the disfuctional one. For code… well, I felt like being thorough and copied all files – 12, I think, in total. I doubted the problem was in the sync-Aweber or sync-mailchimp, but just in case there was some stupid reference in a different place, I swapped out everything. And yeah, did the same thing by installing on a site with no giveaways to get the code. Day 4 and it is still working! Good luck!

I copied them over one by one and kept checking – got it working now! Thanks! And BOOOOOOO KingSumo!

This should all be fixed and addressed =)
