• Guys and gals: I must say that I am now afraid to update your plugin because I lose valuable features each time. The “new” features are gratuitous and worthless – I don’t need them, or would I use them.

In the past two updates, I lost redirect ability, and the Flesch reading score feature. I did not see Flesch as being removed in your release notes, and now it’s gone.

What will I lose next time? Editable meta descriptions? I understand the need to be paid for your work; in fact, I included Yoast premium in my last two website quotes. If you add a Donation button to the free version, I would surely send you $$, and so would others. Maybe not as much as you’d like to get, but you knew the terms here. Please don’t become the sort of developers who steal from the poor to make more money!!

With absolute respect and sincere thanks,
    AF

P.S. — For those free Yoast users who wish to check their copy writing against the Flesch reading score (and others)… AND learn which sentences should be edited, use this link:

OK, I accept that I made a mistake. I discovered the Yoast peeps had moved the Flesch reading score to the new “Content” section. AND, they added more cool features to it. Although I am still upset about losing redirect ability (and redoing all that work), I admit that I did not thoroughly research the new update before filing my complaint.

Thank you for the augmented reading score features. Please try to leave everything else in place for awhile?
