    Hello,

I am using MailPoet for the website of a small member society. All members (about 200) are WordPress users with (a.o.) the user role ‘Club Member’. There are also WP users without this role, who are not a club member.

    I created:

    • A list ‘Post Notifications’. Anybody can subscribe to this list; club members of course, but for example also former members who still want to be informed what is happening.
    • A segment ‘Club Members’ with all WP users with the role ‘Club Member’ (a really nice MailPoet feature!)

    And I created:

    • An email ‘Post Notification’, which is sent automatically to the list ‘Post Notifications’
    • An email template “Message to members’, which can be used by the club management and committees to send nice looking emails with important messages to all club members, using the segment ‘Club Members’

And now I have a problem:

    • Club members should be able to unsubscribe from the list ‘Post Notifications’, like everybody else, but NOT from the segment ‘Club Members’.
    • If you use the MailPoet sending service (as I strongly prefer to do!), all emails must contain an unsubscribe link.
    • Using the unsubscribe link removes you from the list ‘Post Notifications’ and, if you are a club member, also unsubscribes you from the segment ‘Club Members’.

This can be solved by not using the MailPoet sending service, but that is not what you recommend (and I don’t like it either). So I wonder what is the right way to handle this?
