“kid” empty, unable to lookup correct key

  • Dear Team, I have been receiving error message “kid” empty, unable to lookup correct key’ each time i visit my site or login to my user account.

    I’m wondering what could e causing such error message. I need your help to identify the source of the problem please

    That message is not like any core WP error I’ve ever seen, I suspect it’s something introduced by a plugin or theme. Try deactivating all plugins to see if it enables you to login. I recommend the FTP method in the above linked doc because you can also use that method to rename your current theme’s directory name, forcing WP to use an alternative theme. You should then be able to login.

    If you still cannot login even with an alternative theme and no plugins, I would suspect your site might have been hacked. If so, please work through the steps at FAQ My Site was Hacked.
