I’ve had Yoast on my site for about a year now and I’m seeing some odd search keywords in my host cpanel stats. Words like
    positionzts
    luckopf
    locationok3
and the list goes on with odd, randomized words. I’ve completed the setup on my Yoast, I make sure to put the meta info on my posts, so why are these coming up in my stats? Any help or insight is appreciated

  • Hey @techbot,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Can you share some more insights about what specific feature this is in cPanel? I’m not familiar with it and what/where it grabs information from? This way we can know more or see if we can help out or understand better where this comes from.

This is in my Awstats in Cpanel. Under the “Keywords used in search engines”

@techbot Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately we can’t say for certain why you’d be seeing these listed as keywords used in search engines from cPanel. However, if they are words and phrases that don’t relate to anything on your site, this can sometimes be indicative of the site being compromised. So we’d recommend checking with your hosting provider for more information and to see whether they could perform a security audit on the site to check for any malware or evidence of compromise.
