    Hi,

first of all: Thanks a lot for this plugin! Finally there’s a solution to get rid of NextGen! Awesome work!

I do have an issue though: The Keywords don’t always seem to sync. In Lightroom I set all dropdowns to “Keywords” but after syncing they only appear in “Alt. Text”. Any idea what might cause the issue?

    Thanks for your support.

    Cheers,

    Oliver

    Hello Quicky,

Haha! Yeah, WP/LR Sync gives you the power to choose the system you like and to be independent and to switch between gallery plugins and themes. I needed that too…

I have to be honest, I don’t think I have tried for a very long time to assign Keywords to something else than Alt and when I tried, it didn’t work.

It was not difficult to fix so I just did it and released a new version of the LR plugin. You can get it directly here: https://apps.meow.fr/wp-content/uploads/wplr-2.2.6.lrplugin.zip

Let me know if it works ??

You’re welcome! I will reply to your other question tomorrow ??

I can’t seem to get keywords to sync with keywords in WP. They’re just put in the “Alt” field. I’m trying to build a stockimage site, so keywording is crucial when searching for images.

It did work on the first test file I uploaded thought, but then the image was put in a “post” which was incompatible with my “Sell Media” plug-in.

I love the idea of just syncing directly from Lightroom, and I really hope it’ll work for me as well. I just need the high-res images uploaded with keywords, into the media library.

    Cheers,

    Hello Per,

Did you update your LR plugin version to the last current one? This one: https://apps.meow.fr/wp-content/uploads/wplr-2.2.6.lrplugin.zip

But you are talking about which keywords in WP? Where? There are no keywords in the core of WP.

Yes I am using the latest plugin ??

I thought the keywords were native in WP, but maybe its from the Sell-Media plugin?
    It looks like this:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/5jfjzf2rfwdj876/Screen%20Shot%202015-09-18%20at%2011.00.42.png?dl=0

If that is the case, I find it weird that it worked on the first upload

Yes, this is added by another plugin… ?? ??

So basically if you want WP/LR Sync to sync the keywords with that plugin, we need to work on an extension (you or the author of that plugin and I).

    Thanks for your rapid response.

I see! I am afraid my knowledge on WordPress wouldn’t be sufficient to do that kind of development.. Is it a lot of difficult coding to make an extension?

I still find it strange that it worked the first time :-p

Ok, so I tried to tick of your extensions “Basic Posts” and “Basic Collections” synced with LR and this happened:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/x3jpm48hoof190w/Screen%20Shot%202015-09-18%20at%2011.33.00.png?dl=0

So it seems some keywords were synced!

However, this messes up the “Collection” function in Sell-Media and makes the images “page not found”. I’ll try again with just the “basic posts” extensions.

That worked! The keywords are loaded into WP! However, it seems that Sell-Media is stripping them away again in they’re import procedure. I’ll have to contact their support, thanks for helping out!

If you would like, this is the theme I’m using, so it would be great if you could team up with them to make this the best plugin ever! ??

You can ask them how it works. However, don’t believe that their keywords with work automatically with WP/LR without an extension ?? I think that on the first upload the keywords which are inside the EXIF of your images is used by that Sell Media plugin, but it is not the ones actually set up by WP/LR Sync. So any further update/sync will actually not update them.

Of course, you should ask the guys at Sell-Media to make sure ??

Thanks for the explanation ?? When I tried to upload 600 images now, not all of them were completed. If I press publish again, will the plugin re-upload ALL the images, or just the ones which failed?

When I tried to upload 600 images now, not all of them were completed.

    Really? Why?

If I press publish again, will the plugin re-upload ALL the images, or just the ones which failed?

Only the ones which were not published successfully.

Actually I’m not sure why, I’ve set the timeout to 32 sec like suggested, but maybe the server still timeouts? Maybe you could point out where the logs are generated in WP, I could paste them in here. I tried to search for logs in wp, with no luck.

The WP/LR log is full of these lines however:

You have nothing after this line? If not, that means… your server send an empty reply. That happens when there is a timeout.

Are your images really big? Which timeout did you change, the PHP one, in your server configuration? (usually we cannot change it). Do you have a plugin that optimizes all the images on your server side? That adds a lot of time to the process and might end in a failure. You should try with smaller image sizes (in LR) to see if it helps.
