    Hai Ivan,

    Thanks for your review comment.

Unfortunately, I don’t understand your question above.
When I do a search on the Media Library page, it takes into account the filter I used before.
Did you use the “Filter” button to activate the filter feature?

If the issue persists, can you provide more information like screenshot or url?

I’m working on V1.6.0 now here you can use the “Search” widget on media files as well. But that is meant for the front-end, not the admin sections.

Here are the steps to reproduce the issue:

    1) Select appropriate media category
    2) Click “Filter” button
    3) Type some text into search box on the right side
    4) Press Enter on the keyboard

It shows results from all categories, not just filtered previously.

Just tried the same when Site Language is in English, and it seems to be working fine. Could it be multi-language issue?

    Aha,
    Thanks for this update.
It could very well be a multi-language issue.
I thought it would be fixed with V1.5.2.
Just uploaded V1.6.0, can you test with that version?

    What language are you using?
And what is the translation of the “Filter” key word shown on the button in your language?

Unfortunately, it is not working with 1.6.0, either.

The language is Serbian, it says “Филтрира?” on the button.

Should not rely on particular wording if possible.

    Many thanks.

    Ok, you’re right.
Fixed it now another way in V1.6.1.
    Thanks for helping out!

Still having the same problem using 1.6.1.

    Hm.
Can you try to test without any other plugin?

I just tested a Serbian version on my site and this works fine following the steps you described earlier.

The way to test interaction with other plugins is to disable them all except my plugin. Test the workings. If it works, enable a plugin and test again. Repeat this for all plugins until it doesn’t work any more.
Note the plugin that resulted in a failure.

    Hope this helps.

I also cannot reproduce the issue on plain installation using Serbian language.

I cannot disable plugins in production environment. Any other ideas how to troubleshoot this issue? Maybe some debugging by changing the code itself?

    Hai Ivan,

Do you have a test environment to try the plugin disabling?
Or maybe you can send me a list of the plugins you have installed.

I use the plugins “debug-bar” and “debug-my-plugin”. They generate debug info on a separate page. It can be shown by clicking on the “Debug” link in the top-right corner of the admin bar. Maybe you could send me the text shown on the “WP MCM” tab?

    Hai Ivan,

Sorry to see you still have the issue.
But, as you stated earlier, you cannot reproduce the issue yourself on a fresh install.
This could indicate it is something which is caused by the combination of two plugins.
Can you send me a list of plugins (and versions) you use on the site where the problem is?

    Best,
    Jan
