a customer reached out to us regarding the keyword search.
On one of our services users can search for courses and education classes on so on. On this serive we just have the keyword field and the categorie field.
So if the user searches for a specific term, he gets results that do not have realy somehting in commom with the actual keyword:
    Here is an example
If you type in “Stimme” as a keyword, you get results for courses that actualy have “stimme” as a topic of the class, but you get also results of some listings that do not have something in common with the topic. Because you get search result where somewhere in the text is a word located that includes “stimme” but the its like “bestimmen”.

There is are 2 open simmilar request on github
    https://github.com/Automattic/WP-Job-Manager/issues/2749
    and
    https://github.com/Automattic/WP-Job-Manager/issues/1707

Would be nice if this would be high priority to get a solutin for this, because the current behavior ain′t really customer friendly

Hi, @braehler! We can’t give a timeframe, but we’re tracking demand for this, and I’ve made sure to add a vote for you.

In the meantime, you may find this third-party plugin helpful for extending WP Job Manager’s search and filtering: Search and Filtering for WP Job Manager.

If you’re comfortable with custom development, you may also use some of the search/filtering custom snippet examples here and customize it to your needs: Customization Snippets.

@dcka — please add my vote, too. I think it’s really important that basic usability be given higher priority versus some of the very niche new features that are being rolled out. I also think it is way past time for there to be a roadmap with a general timeline of where and how quickly (or not) development of WPJM is going.

On this note of basic usability, though, please also make higher priority having the “Duplicate” menu option for jobs on the job dashboard, regardless of the jobs’ status — this was opened as an issue on the WPJM GitHub on June 22, 2023, and was closed this spring, but still hasn’t been implemented.

@hastibe Our developers actually released an improvement for search very recently.

As for the “Duplicate” menu option for jobs on the job dashboard,?I see one of our developers has already responded on the GitHub issue.
