    Hi Team,

The previous team used AIOSEO plugin for SEO but I want to use Yoast. I installed the latest version of both plugins and WP is updated too. When I import from AIOSEO, the Keywords section from AIOSEO is not imported in Yoast.

Can you please help me import keywords from AIOSEO into Yoast?

    Hi @goldengalaxy

We’re not exactly sure if the keywords being used from AIOSEO is the same as the ‘focus keyphrase’ functionality in the Yoast SEO plugin. It’s possible that only the settings might be transported over. You can review all of the options for import & export from other SEO plugins here – https://yoast.com/help/import-options-in-yoast-seo/

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for your response. I do not have a premium version of this plugin yet. I will be going for it but before that, I need to understand that keywords from AIOSEO plugin can be imported in Yoast. Not necessarily in keyphrases but any other field/setting that Yoast uses for keywords.

If we are correct, All in One SEO uses what are called “meta keywords”. Yoast removed the meta keywords feature because Google no longer uses them. Instead, we offer “focus keyphrases”. This guide explains the difference between the two.

As Yoast SEO does not convert meta keywords into the focus keyphrases, you need to manually input the keyphrases.

Thank you for clarifying this. It would be a manual task to migrate the keywords.
