Keyboard opens file, not lightbox

    Hello, I’m trying to get my site up to wcag standards.
    When tabbing to the image with the keyboard, pressing Enter opens the file (e.g image.jpg), instead of the lightbox. Works normally with mouse use. Is there a setting I can change to force it to open the lightbox instead?
    I’m using just the native WordPress image
