Keyboard navigation only pro?

  • This plugin has some great features but I’m not sure they work properly for me. I thought this plugin seemed worthwhile based on positive reviews. I am shopping for galleries I can use and I’m even willing to pay for a pro version however I always test the free one first.

    1. Disappointed to discover the keyboard navigation is missing in the free version. I find this unacceptable. That is a basic feature.

    2. The pro version doesn’t seem to have the ability to associate my image with a link to an external URL – this would allow me to connect my images to an online store. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think this is a good feature and normally it seems an image in WordPress could have a link enabled.

    3. Using social share Twitter button worked fine but Facebook produced an error: “Parameter ‘href’ should represent a valid URL”

    I am still interested but want to hear your response to these issues.

    1. Good feedback! Exactly the sort of feedback we want to hear so we can improve the plugin. Thank you for letting us know what feature would be useful for the lite/core plugin. We’ll take note of that!

    2. This is actually an option the plugin has. Please follow the instructions here: https://modula.helpscoutdocs.com/article/186-add-links-to-images so you can add links to images in the gallery.

    3. I just tried this on my test gallery, but I was unable to replicate that issue. Is it possible to send me your site’s URL so I can take a look and investigate? However, we are not allow to provide support in the reviews section according to the forum’s rules, so please open a new thread here so we can help asap.

    And thank you for your reply. Actually I take back that I find keyboard navigation absolutely required for free version – it is nice to have.

    I added a link to my photo using your instructions, saved the gallery refreshed my page and found I don’t see a link nor can I click the image and go to the URL (also set it up for open in new tab but don’t see that happening either).

    Actually the Facebook share appears to work now so I take that back that it isn’t working.
