Kept crashing one of my sites

I use few plugins and the ones I use are all well-known, well-supported and popular. I keep the software updated and I also use a very popular and extremely well-coded theme. For a while I repeatedly had connectivity issues (website pages took over a minute to load) and 503 errors. The culprit of the problems turned out to be Broken Link Checker. In my case, this plugin was more accurately called “Broken Website Maker.” I just can’t take a chance on using it again.
