Keeps disconnecting stopping Tag Manager from working

What may be happening here based on your description, is you’ve reached the 100 site OAuth limit, as per the below guide:

This limit is for 100 active connections, meaning it’s normal if you connect any sites any site number 100 for the longest connected site to become disconnected, and so on.

Another possibility, although less likely based on your troubleshooting, is that a common plugin or hosting feature is changing your WordPress SALT keys, thereby impacting your Site Kit connection.

We’d be happy to look into this further for you if this is not related to the 100 site OAuth limit. Thanks for the reply. Why does Google have this 100 connection limit? We use Microsoft One drive to connect to sites as well for back up purposes and they have no limits like this. As a company that relies on Google and Site kit to connect Analytics and Tag manager, on potentially thousands of sites, this limit will cause me to look elsewhere for a solution. I can’t simply create new google accounts just to connect more sites, that’s inefficient to say the least. What can be done?

@tvvitchy53 We are sorry to hear that you wish to look elsewhere for a solution. As mentioned in the guide I shared above, this is an?OAuth 2.0 limitation,?the authentication tool used to verify users’ Google accounts.

The limit has previously been changed from 50 to 100 in the past to help accommodate users with many sites. I can certainly pass on your feedback to the team but at this time if you have reached the OAuth limit then sites will be disconnected.

@tvvitchy53 Absolutely! You can see this by clicking on your profile image when on the Site Kit dashboard and selecting Manage Sites.
