Keeps asking for login despite being logged in

  • Hi,
    This is a temperamental problem so it’s not happening all the time. Sometimes, although members are logged in at the website (wordpress tab comes at the top of the screen), the contents are not visible and the page says you must login or join. When they click on login, the login page comes, they login and try to see the content but it keeps asking them the same thing. It becomes a loop. It happened to me once or twice as the administrator.
    The problem resolves itself after a while. Something happens and those members are allowed to login normally. I have no idea why this is happening. Do you have an idea?

    Hi, do you have a cache plugin? If you do have a cache plugin make sure you have excluded any login pages from this plugin.

    I tried 2-3 cache plugins but they messed up the memberships so I turned them off and deleted them. Don’t know what else I can do.

    Make sure you have Debug Mode enabled. Next time something like this happens again check the log file. Also you might like to check the server logs, they sometimes reveal important information.

    Do you have any other security and other plugins that might cause your website to behave like this?
