Keeping log in form in sidebar

When I check off “Require users to be logged in to view site” I get the log in form in the middle of my page when I log out, but since I’m using the widget in my sidebar, I see it twice.
How can I avoid users seeing the really long stretched out log in form in the content part of my website?
