Keeping changes when updating

    Hi,

    I’ve been changing some text and colors in the files coming with the Hemingway theme. How can I make sure these changes are not going back to the way they were. Noticing this, I would like to suggest an option in the ‘editing colors’ option when editing the Home Page. Could you add some options to change menu color, search button color, etc.? Or could you give me the code that I can add personally to make sure the responsive menu is not disappearing right away while clicking, referring to my latest topic ‘Responsive menu gone?’? Thanks in advance.

    Hi YoungJordeh,

    I have been planning on adding a custom color selector to all my themes, so that’ll be coming some time in the future. As for drop down hover on tablets, that functionality was added in the latest version of Hemingway, so that should be working if you update to the latest version.

    If you want to keep your changes from update to update, I would recommend you to use child themes. That way, you can keep Hemingway updated without your custom changes disappearing.
