• Question? Is there any way to stop WPSiteSync from removing the post that was pushed to live after it does it?

We run a mission critical site with a large editorial team and we implemented a dev staging and production environment so that nobody works on the live site.

The idea is that editorial works on staging, and our developers work on dev, so that nobody breaks the front end. We lose money when that happens.

But, when a post is pushed to live, it’s removed from staging.

We want/need to keep the post on staging.

    How do we do that?

  • Hello,

WPSiteSync does not remove anything from the Source or Target.

Are there any other plugins that interact with Posts?

    Hello @techdex,

Thank you for contacting us about this. We don’t have any code in WPSiteSync that deletes anything. Our intention is to synchronize/update the Content on the Target site, never remove anything from the Source site. So I think something else is going on.

Do you have any other plugins running on the Source site and what are those?

What might be easiest is to submit a Support Request through our web site at https://serverpress.com/contact/ – this way we can ask you some additional questions and see if we can find the cause for this.

    All the best,
    The ServerPress Team

You are absolutely right. I am sorry.

A few people were logging in using bookmarks and shortcuts and posted to production instead of staging.

That will be corrected, thank you!
