    Hi,

Thanks for the great plug-in Kunal. Everything’s been working fantastically. I just had a question about whether or not social shares will transfer over in a site migration.

My company is planning a blog redesign and we created an external DEV environment, at a different IP, to test a few theme customizations.

We’re planning on porting over the template to our current IP with the same linking structure. My question to you is will the historical social shares remain on the site when the new template is carried over?

  • It seems it does not completely transfer over. Just migrated my site. Some transferred, some were lost. The painful part werer the pages where I’d racked up a lot of social shares. Lost. ppft! Doesn’t look like creator responds to this support section.

Thanks for the response grrrltraveler. I’m sorry to hear that you lost some of your shares.

We actually proceeded with our site transfer, and luckily the social shares came over with no hiccups. We kept the same linking structure and all the shares naturally ported over. I guess it’s the luck of the draw.

I lost all my likes deactivating and reactivating the plugin. How to recover my likes?
