    Hi @kaklappen,

Could you try excluding complianz.js and complianz.min.js in Autoptimize? It might be better for the integration,

Please also check if you force the scripts in the head with Autoptimize, this is not recommended for render-blocking.

    Let me know! regards Aert

    Thanks for your reply

    it didn′t change anything..
also, I am not forcing scripts in the head with autoptimize

I already tried to deactivate autoptimize completely, also empty cache. it seems like its not related to this plugin
also deactivated w3 total cache, no changes.

it was working fine befor one of the last updates, I don′t know when it stopped working but i guess within the last 4 weeks

its a problem with complianz, that′s the only thing I updated and since then its not working.

when I deactivate the “elementor” integration, all the videos are loading, and complianze stops working at all

    Hi @kaklappen,

When I reproduce the issue on your site by following your instructions: I do indeed see the placeholder when the video should get loaded, but as soon as I resize the browser window or open Chrome DevTools, the placeholder disappears and the video loads as expected.

That does seem like behavior that could potentially be related to an optimization in one of your caching/optimizing tools. I’ve tried reproducing the issue on a sandbox environment, but no luck yet.

Currently I see Autoptimize, CloudFlare + Rocket Loader and W3 Total Cache activated. The fastest way to find out if these might be related to the issue, would be to disable them entirely, then checking the front-end to check if the issue disappears.

If the issue does disappear when doing so, you can start re-enabling the optimization tools one-by-one. Check the front-end each time you re-enable one, so you’ll know exactly which one causes the issue if the issue occurs again.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    thanks for your reply.

right now I deactivated Autoptimize and W3 Total Cache.
    no changes

then I deactivated cloud flare in total

    after it was working

so I reactivated W3 Total cache
    everything still working

    i reactivated cloudflare
    its working

    i reactivated autoptimize
    not working

    so it seems its autoptimize

    what to do from here?

right now w3 and cloudflare is activated, i will wait for you to check before it reactivate autoptimize

    thanks ??

    Hi @kaklappen,

I see that the behavior has been corrected now, glad to hear this helped to narrow down the cause of the issue.

You could re-activate the Autoptimize plugin and disable it’s optimizations at first, exclude Complianz from the optimizations, and go from there by re-activating optimization features one-by-one. As soon as you notice that the behavior returns to the “incorrect” state after reactivating a feature, you’ll know that you either have to disable it or exclude a specific script/plugin from that feature.

The Autoptimize developer is very responsive on these forums as well. I’m sure he will be able to assist in case you require any further assistance with your Autoptimize configuration.

I’ll mark this thread as resolved for now.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

when I deactivate the optimization of .js its working

so I guess I have to exclude some .js files. I don′t know which one…

so far I excluded the following

    js/complianz.js, js/complianz.min.js, js/migrate.min.js, complianz.js, complianz.min.js, migrate.min.js

    It′s not working, no changes

also if I uncheck this one

    JS-Dateien zusammenfügen?
Alle verlinkten JS-Dateien zusammenführen, um sie nicht render-blockierend zu machen?

its working again. But I need this to speed up the site. It′s really slow without

so can you tell me what .js I have to exclude?

    ??

    Hi @kaklappen,

To exclude Complianz from caching/optimization tools, adding complianz.js and complianz.min.js to the exclusion list would be sufficient.

What you could additionally attempt is installing the latest version of Complianz Free, which includes an additional improvement to Elementor/YouTube. You can download it from GitHub (click the green Code button > “Download .ZIP”): https://github.com/Really-Simple-Plugins/complianz-gdpr.

But perhaps it is related to three separate optimization tools being active, all of which trying to achieve similar results, but in slightly different ways. An alternative you could try would be disabling Autoptimize, and leave Page Caching in W3 + the CloudFlare functionalities activated. You can make adjustments to optimize performance here as well.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    thank you for your help

    I already did that.

    It doesn′t change anything ??

after all it seems like it′s not auto optimize. I was on the wrong track.
Autoptimize (on all Js files) was turned of over a week and its back to “not working” again….

It all started after an update of complianz. before everything was fine…

Today I updatet complianz and now it doesnt even show the placeholder anymore.

Auto optimize on all js is still deactivated.

furthermore, I temporary deactivated cloudflare on my site, and its working again….

    so what to do now?

2/ 3 month before everyting was working well

    Hi @kaklappen,

Could you list, if any, the optimizations under “Speed” in Cloudflare?

I’ll try at our end if I can see any changes.

    Thanks, regards Aert

    the following is active:

    Brotli

    Rocket Loader?

    thats all

    ??

    Plugin Contributor jarnovos

    (@jarnovos)

    Hi @kaklappen,

I tested this on our own setup, the issue seems to be related to Rocket Loader.

I have added a Feature Request to add the data-cfasync="false" parameter to Complianz scripts with the purpose of further improving upon the compatibility with Rocket Loader. https://complianz.io/feature-requests/add-data-cfasyncfalse-to-complianz-scripts/

For the time being, the workaround will be to add a page rule to have Rocket Loader skip the page in question.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    thanks for the information.

How long will it take to release the update of complianz?

the workaround unfortunately is not an option, because this issue is not just on this page, it′s on every page on that I have used the elementor feature (just copy paste the youtube url to embed youtube videos)

    so almost on every page

with other pages that just use the youtube “embed code” there is no such problem

so the workaround would be a crazy ammount of work

    Hi @kaklappen,

We’ll test it out and see if we can integrate it with Complianz, otherwise, we will add a MU plugin.

We will get back to you soon,

    Hi @kaklappen,

I’ve created a branch which adds the data-cfasync attribute:

    https://github.com/Really-Simple-Plugins/complianz-gdpr/tree/data-cfacync-Cloudflare

You can test it by downloading the zip from the green button, then upload it as a normal WordPress plugin. Please deactivate your current Complianz plugin first.

Let me know if this helps!

    (@rogierlankhorst)

@kaklappen did the above branch work for you?
