Keep sessions after browser close

  • I don’t remember if I’ve asked you guys about this. I’d LOVE to see the ability to have the carts not expire after the browser closes.

    I’ve been doing ecommerce for 20 years. There is a MAJOR increase in closed sales for systems that keep the carts active after the browser closes. Someone puts something in the cart, comes back a month later and “OH…..I STILL NEED TO BUY THAT!” ??

    I think you are not understanding. Your sessions are probably cookie based and expire when the browser closes. This has nothing to do with cache. I want the cookies NOT to expire so that people can come back to a full cart. Cache could mimic this behavior but not correctly so we would never rely on cache for this.
