Keep image aspect ratio?

Hi! How can I keep my images aspect ratio? I would like to keep the rectangular shape on my original design but the plugin makes all images square, this is what I have made so far but it’s not working out since it only resizes the image and the content box but not the row’s height:

width: 100%;
height: auto !important;
}

.royal-hov-content {
width: 100%;
height: auto !important;
}

What am I missing? Thanks!!
