• I’ve looked around the forum & still can’t find an answer. Tried shutting off plugins, clearing the browser cache. Looked around to see if there is some setting I have wrong.

Often but not always when I try to log back in it will take me to a “post” page even though I dont have any & my site is set up for pages. Sometimes is will ask my if I’m sure I want to do this & when I click yes my last page is lost.

I did have 2 installs of WP installed but I deleted one & no difference. I had done this in the beginning when I didn’t know what I was doing but there wasn’t a problem then.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

I reset the plugins like in the link. Everything is uninstalled but just a few necessary ones & it seems to be working. My jetpack wont reinstall now. None of the JP troubleshooting tips work but I contacted their support.

I’m scared to delete any files, I have 30 pages I don’t want to mess up. Maybe you could walk me through it? Or maybe I have found the problem with the removed plugins? It takes time to reactivate one at a time & then to see what it does.

    Thanks for the help.
