Keep getting hacked!!! :(

    Hi all,

    My blog was first hacked a few days ago when I found my template had changed and about 30 plugins had been uploaded and activated! I quickly changed my admin password, cpanel password and luckily had a recent backup which I restored.

    Unfortunately, I just went into my admin area on WP and a load more plugins have been uploaded! I’m not sure what else I can do besides changing my admin password? The funny thing is I was using 2.3 for over a year with no problems and 2 weeks after I upgrade to 2.7.1 and this happens… lol

    Does anyone have any tips/help/advise at all? It would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, just reading through it now.

    My WP says there’s two admins when there’s supposed to be one. But when I check it only lists one, which is mine! Is this normal?!

    No it isn’t. Delete the one that is not you, use the control panel wp_users table if you have to. Then make yourself a new admin user, but not with admin as username, so you can also delete the old admin user.

    Ok thanks, I just changed the admin name in wp_users, but still can’t find any other admin! However, I have noticed this user, which I’m not sure if it’s the hacker??
