• Hello Team,
Could you please ensure that existing users are retained after migration? I’m concerned that if I set up and restore from a different backup, my current users will no longer be on the website. In this scenario, it’s crucial to retain the existing users. Could you either keep the existing users after restoration or provide an option to choose whether to retain current users or not? I believe this would be a valuable feature to have. Thank you very much!

Thank you for reaching out with your concern about retaining existing users after a site migration. Currently, the plugin does not support selectively retaining users during the restoration process; it typically overwrites the existing user data with the information from the backup.

However, we recognize the value of such a feature and understand how it could be beneficial in various scenarios. I will forward your suggestion to our development team and ensure that it’s added to our feedback request list. This way, we can assess if it’s a commonly requested feature and consider it for future updates.

In the meantime, if retaining specific user data is crucial, you might consider manually exporting and importing the user data using SQL commands or a dedicated user management plugin.

I’m interested in this ticket. I want to export and the only import Posts and Pages to retain the content and links that are in the posts and that reference pages. If this is not possible, where can you find out how to bring the databases of posts and pages only, into a new website please?
