Keep CF7 From Address

  • Hi,

    I use Google for mailing. CF7 To is “[email protected]” and From is “[your-name] <[your-email]>”, so the buyer’s name and address (also the Reply-To, that works well), because I want to GMail Inbox shows every new contact as a separate conversation. For SMTP I have a [email protected] address, and this address is the From Email Address for Easy SMTP. But Easy SMTP ignores CF7 From Address! From Name is fine (Force From Name Replacement is unchecked).

    Why wrong is this for me and probably for others? Because GMail Inbox receive the email and shows the buyer’s name and the contact@ address. Later a different new email recevied with the same subject, and Google will contine this thread, not start a new one!

    How can I prevent Easy SMTP override CF7 From data?

    Do you have the following feature Force From Name Replacement enabled? If you do, can you disable this feature and carry out a test.

    Before you begin, make sure you check Enable Debug Log under Additional Settings. Once you complete the test, check the log file and report back with any findings.
