Kale Theme how to change the images on the front screen.

Please upload your own featured images for each post in order for the default / sample images to be over written.

I too am having difficulty removing the stock photos that come with the template. Can you please explain how to upload feature images so that those photos are overwritten? I cannot find anywhere where I can do that.

In order replace the default/sample images from showing, please make sure you upload a featured image for all your posts.

To remove “My diary” section please go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Front Page -> Large / Highlight Post and disable SHOW button.

If I add a featured image to my posts, then they also appear on top of the blog post – but I do not want that. I just want them to appear on the front page.
How do I achieve that? Thanks.

The easiest way to hide the featured image in single blog post is by adding the following css to Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS field:

.single .entry-thumb {
  display: none;
}

Hi @lyrathemes @jarektheme I’m having trouble with my Kale theme – the main header image isn’t centred. I’ve tried uploading a wider image but even then, on larger screens the image appears left justified. How can I change this so that there isn’t a gap on the right hand side? Thanks

@reb2087 This shouldn’t be happening unless the image is smaller than 1200px wide. Can you show me a screenshot? Also, make sure that the header image being used is at least 1200px wide.

Hi @lyrathemes, thanks I fixed it in the end – error between chair and keyboard.

I do have another problem with that header image/banner though.
I’m finding that on mobile the caption header is responsive and shrinks down, but the caption description remains massive. Do you have any idea?

(I have been messing around with the style sheet a bit so I may have broken something. Do you have a copy of the original sheet so I can start again if I need to?)

I may have fixed that too… but I have no idea how! That clean copy of the style sheet would be very helpful for future comparisons if you have one?

The easiest way to get original style.css file is just download the fresh copy of the Kale theme.

Do you mean posts in Featured Posts section or some other place? In order to display 5 posts in Featured Posts just below the header slider you need to modify theme files.
