• This is not a recent problem…..

    with all caching plugins off
    The issue still is:

When tying to delete or save custom JW setup, I get this error message:
    >Warning: unlink() [function.unlink]: No such file or directory in /home/fritzima/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/jw-player-plugin-for-wordpress/framework/LongTailFramework.php on line 123.<

    another screen message says
    >The ” Player was successfully deleted.< I would suppose the player name should be fully identified and be inbetween quotes.

I can also see that a ‘custom player your name.xml’ is not being saved to /uploads/jw-player-plugin-for-wordpress/configs

I have spennt a lot of time trying to figure this out. The JW status is: JW Player: Installed (JW Player 5.10.2295 (Licensed version))
    JW Embedder: Installed

Per instructions The Plugin is in /wp-content/plugins and
and the SWF&JS files are in /uploads/jw-player-plugin-for-wordpress/player

Chmod for both folders are set properly.

My next plan of attach is to deinstall and delete all traces of JW, and reinstall

Any suggestion before I have to dump and delete content.?

Can you email LongTail an example of this issue so we can further investigate?

The contact-us email link you provided only sends me into the JW forum. I have spent the time outliniing my issue here. I don’t have the time to fix something that should work right out of the box or goto another forum to explain why this product does not work. I have decided to dump and discard your WP plugin from my site and move on and upgrade to another player which does work right out of the box and does not have the problems this one does and which has a less criptic support process.

Sorry, on the left side there was a place to email us. I apologize for the inconvenience.

    Ed,

I’m having issues too. What plugin did you switched to?

My problem has not gone away. JW player cannot be customized in WP due to some sort of problem as I stated above. It actual makes JW player skin look like a piece of uglyness on my site, and I can not do a thing to fix it…. I looking for alternative solutions to using JW as no one knows how to fix my problem, (and I have a commecial license)

support [at] longtailvideo [dot] com is a real email. We are not just a forum…Please email us your back end so we can actually look into the issues here, as the player works fine.

Of coarse the player looks fine, ?? but it is the standard out of the box basic ugly skin, I cannot do any customizing to it!!!! The changes I make are blocked out or will not take. That is the problem that I am reporting….

What do you mean email ‘back end”…

    thanks
