JW Player 6 Shoutcast Streaming on WordPress

    Hi.

    I’m tryinig to setup JW Player 6 on my website to stream from a Shoutcast radio URL, but can’t find the option on the WordPress plugin. I tried to add it as an external URL but it doesn’t work. I just get this shortcode:

    [jwplayer player="1" mediaid="36"]

    How can I get it to work, if possible? The shoutcast url is https://184.154.202.243:8074/;stream.nsv

    For reference, this is the shortcode I used with JW Player 5 (which worked perfectly):

    [jwplayer type="audio" file="https://184.154.202.243:8074/;stream.nsv" streamer="https://184.154.202.243:8074" html5_file="https://184.154.202.243:8074/;stream.nsv"]

    JW Player doesn’t officially support Shoutcast streams. See our media format support page for more info.

    If it did work for you with version 5, I suggest you should revert to JW5.

    Too bad to hear that. I hope it gets supported in future updates; it works great on JW Player 5.

    In the upcoming version 2.0.2, you can set the type in the embed code again.

    Using [jwplayer type="mp3" primary="flash" file="https://184.154.202.243:8074/;stream.nsv"] should make things work again.

    That said, due to our experiences in the past, Shoutcast is not officially supported.

    Thanks. I just updated to the new 2.0.2, and using the shortcode you suggested, it works perfectly again.
