• Hello. My affiliate marketing WP sites are all set up pretty much the same way, same plugins, etc. So it was no surprise that when one site started to have problems, they all showed the same behavior.

Basically, what happens now is that when I go to publish or update a post, the browser hangs until I get a 500 error. The browser status will constantly be ‘trying to connect to https://www.blahblah.com’ until it times out. However, the site itself will actually show the changes I submitted (ex. the new post will be live). Still, it’s annoying to have a time out on every new post or update. Also, saving drafts works just fine – it’s only the Publish and Update buttons that cause the problem.

I disabled all my plugins and narrowed it down to the JVPress GoPages plugin, which masks affiliate link URLs. When disabled, WP works just fine. When enabled, I get the time outs. I’m not able to find any info on other people having this problem with this plugin.

Any advice? Thank you in advance.

    Anyone? *bump*

    Just a thought…
Make sure your WordPress Blog has been Upgraded to 3.0 or better.

Yup, they’re all the latest version of WP.

I downloaded the free version of GoPages, and when installed, the Publish button never publishes the GoPage, but saves it as a Draft.
When I try to edit the Draft, the Redirect Link and the Meta keywords, Meta description, and Tags are all blank. I sent an email to [email protected] to see why this plugin does NOT work as shown in the video. At least you know there are others who can’t get this to work. Michael Borger, did you ever get it to work?
    Thanks,
