• When I paste from Word into the content area on my home page, the default justification seems to be “center” and will not accept my left justified copy. I have not been able to find the code that is making this center justification. Please help.

    Thanks

  • Don’t paste content from Microsoft Word into WordPress as the pasted text will also contain Word’s own formatting. Sooner or later, this formatting will stop your pages from being displayed correctly (if at all) in Internet Explorer. If you cannot possibly manage without Word, paste your text into NotePad (or another text editor) first, then copy from NotePad into WordPress. Or use a weblog client.

This is my first website build and I am learning on the job sp please bear with me.

I put copy into NotePad and then copied it and put it into the content area on my home page. it still will not justify left unless I add bullet points. This only happens on the home page.

I have used Wordpad. Try pasting into Wordpad or NotePad, saving it and closing it. Then reopen and copy and paste. That should get rid of the MS Word tags.

I copied copy from WordPad into another Wordpad. Closed it. Re opened it. Copied content from WordPad. Put it into my home page. Still will not justify left.

    This is the original copy:
A fact, often overlooked in our complex, competitive corporate world, is that most organizations do not get full value from their Learning and Development initiatives.
Your organization could be wasting up to 75% of the hard earned dollars you have invested in your L&D initiatives. An ASTD survey found that, in 2011, United States organizations invested over $156 billion dollars in L&D initiatives and that only 25% of the organizations felt they received full value from their initiatives.

Still centered. Look at the site. I may need to change code but I dont know what to change(www.kssaustin.com).

I did the above three times. The copy still justifies to the center. You can see this on the site https://www.kssaustin.com
I don’t know how to change the code to make it justify left.

This is my first time working with WordPress and I am learning on the job.

I still can’t get it to justify without adding bullet points.

Also, i added a text box to a widget and don’t know how to format the text in the text box. Suggestions please.

    Thank you.
