    Hi,

since the last update justified grid shows lines of images all with the same height. So depending on line breaks images (heads) are cut off.

Before 3.5.2 the grid was justified changing width and height, preserving aspect ratio. So with some images in one row and a single image in the next row the single image would be shown with correct aspect ratio. Now only width is changed cutting images off.

Changeing the height to another fixed value does not help since a fixed height is only perfect for a fixed width which is not responsive.

Hiding the last line is not an option and all images in a group belong together.

I am using this widget on a lot of sites. The are all broken now (heads cut off).

  • Hey @bbuerger
    Thanks for the reporting.

It seems the heights are showing different aspects on the first-page load (watch this). I have raised this inconsistency to our internal Trello Board for further investigation. I hope our concerned team will look into this “Justified Grid” issue.

    Kind regards.

    Hi again,

We have a backroom discussion regarding this issue and find the summary.

Previously we had a loophole with the Justified Image Height (refer to the user report), which was calculated automatically based on the codebase. Hence, we enhanced that with the latest version to make it more accurate and user-controllable (which might impact for few users’ sites depending on the settings). So if it goes revert again, it will create another situation for other end-users.

    Solution:
We recommend tweaking your settings manually from the editor.
    1) Make the last row as “No justify” or
    2) Predefine your height from the settings- https://prnt.sc/_cHUhTaXXP6Q

    I hope this will help.
    Regards.

    Hi,

unfortunately this does not help at all. This is not the way a justified grid is supposed to work.

If the grid does not work for some users, a solution might be to have a flag leaving the option to have a fixed height or not to the user.

I am sorry but without that dynamic height feature the grid is not justified anymore and certainly not satisfying responsive. What is the use of a beautyful page filling gallery being cut of in the last row? Or a single full width row of images where I cannot use portrait images anymore? There are other plugins with a working justified grid. All of them show the last row with a different height. But I bought yours already (lifetime license) so I do not intend to change.

On top of this I have dozens if not hundreds of pages / posts which are now not shown correctly anymore. And I doubt my sites are the only ones affected. This would have happened to any justified grid showing a mixture of portrait and landscape images which is the whole idea of a justified grid. When all images have the same orientation I can use a fixed grid.

So please change it back to the way it was, possibly with the option of fixed height if sone users need that.

Why this thread is marked as resolved?

    I agree with bbuerger!

With the latest update the Justified Grid is messed up! Revert back to how it was before the update or add the option of fixed height. I’ve multiple pages with Justified Grid on and all of them are messed up now! ??

    Hey everyone,

An update about the “Justified Grid” > we have made another enhancement: now users can enable “Fixed row height” from our upcoming release.

Please wait until our next release. I can’t give you an ETA of the release but hoping this will release soon.
    Kind Regards!

    Great news! Thank you ??

Could you add a feature to set different image height for desktop, tablets and mobile? This feature would be great (I wouldn’t have to set different galleries for different devices)?

Thank you so much for the update! And yes, different heights for different devices would be great.
