Just Works

Built-in WordPress sliders are too limited – can’t do anything useful with them. Smart Slider 3 did not work correctly in about a dozen different ways. Tried to add links to slider images using Gallery Custom Links plugin, which resulted in all images disappearing. Fail fail fail…until Meta Slider. It took me exactly 5 minutes to install the plugin, activate it, go to Meta Slider dashboard, add slides with almost zero change in settings, and it worked first time exactly how I wanted it to work! It is incredible to me that it takes 10-100 times longer to add capability in WordPress than it does by hand-coding HTML/CSS/JS (even given the plethora of plugins = $$$$), but at least this plugin saved the day FOR FREE.
