Just WHY?

  • Please do not merge this plugin with WordPress Core. For developers like me it’s a mess. I am pretty tired of removing Hello Dolly, not i’ll have to remove two plugins on every single install.

    I don’t understand why this can’t be a separate, regular plugin. Anyway, maybe this mean it’s time to consider another CMS.

    Just incase you aren’t aware you can install the Classic editor plugin and right now ensure you don’t have the new editor in 5.0 when it releases. I wanted to suggest that as you don’t have to remove or do anything code side. Thank you however for leaving a review.

    Can I ask what would you want in a new editor that Gutenberg for you doesn’t have?

    I think nobody NEEDS a new editor.

    Also, your reply really make me angry… So I have to install a plugin to ensure WP won’t install a plugin. Does it makes sense? Of course not.

    As a developer, I don’t want to waste time removing Gutemberg, so I don’t want to waste time by installing a plugin.

    Sorry men, but you are doing it really bad. You should listen to the reviews.

    Actually, you’ll have to install a plugin to opt-out of Gutenberg, which will be a part of WordPress core (and not a plugin) in the upcoming WordPress 5.0

    We’re making sure to inform everyone of the upcoming changes, we understand that not every single site is likely to be compatible, although we are working really hard to ensure they are and if not they should fail gracefully to the classic editor.
