Can I just express how much I DESPISE the new “builder” feature. I FINALLY realized that I have to SAVE & REFRESH often just to see my changes. WTAF?? Themers like Beaver or Elementor don’t work like that???

And the “team” module??? Once I realized that I had to SAVE and REFRESH just to see the 5 columns for the team, I am still scratching my head trying to figure out how to add the actual team member photos.

I know this is supposed to be an improvement, but how “improved” is it if it’s a STRUGGLE for even a POWER user to use it! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

@ashewebmaster thanks for reaching out and providing the feedback. The campaign builder is a relatively new introduction and we are working on giving it more features and polishing the experience based on feedback and testing with various campaigns. It was intended for non-power users FIRST and we’ve gotten good feedback from those users we can understand where you are coming from. Just FYI previous ways of updating theme templates, etc with items pre-builder are still available in Charitable and if you want any assistance with that feel free to reach out. Also feel free to reach out with the specific examples of the refreshing and our team can determine if now or in the near future how that can be improved.

If you are mentioning the “teams” functionality, then I’m guessing you are using the Ambassadors addon (which is an addon with a paid Charitable license). Since this is associated with our paid plans you are free to reach out via our dedicated support channel if you have questions. Note though that particular block for teams in the builder is simply adding the shortcode with parameters so team members upload their photos.

Again, thanks for providing feedback. We’re listening as our team plans tweaks and enhancements.

No worries.. I was really just venting and frustrated.. I needed to get a campaign stood up in a hurry and was used to how quickly I could do that before the Builder came along.. I was hoping the new features would be easy to use and was pretty frustrated that I had a deadline I was in danger of not making. I will provide more specific examples of the refreshing the next time I have to create campaign.

That said the Builder will save me some steps in the future. I always had to build the page using my site theme and insert the campaign shortcode. It always seemed silly to have to build a seperate Campaign page just to make my campaigns look the way I wanted to. So it’s a great step forward, but as a power user I struggled HARD! So I cannot imagine how it was for non power users. I am looking forward to the improvements to this feature. In the meantime I finally have my campign up and looking (mostly) the way I want it to look.
