I disabled comments in the discussions section, but the fields still appear on the pages. Is there somewhere else I need to make this adjustment?
    Thanks for any help.

  • If you have any posts or pages before you disabled comments, they will retain their commenting section. You can turn this off on the individual page/post.

Unfortunately, this is what it means when the check box says “Allow people to post comments on new articles”

Darn. How can I turn them off by page?

I actually created a new page and it still shows. Weird.

When you go to one of your pages within the dashboard, click on “screen Options” on the right, under the top admin bar. Check the “Discussion” box. Now when you scroll down the page, you will see a box that allows you to UNCHECK “Allow comments” and “Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page”. That should remove it from the page.
